Golfshrine in physical form

New Turns of Events

  • March 7, 2024 - Alright, alright, I own the Eugene Levy game now. See updates for the brief. Also bear with me while I try to figure out how to make my navigation bar suck less. My apologies if it is somehow backwards.
  • March 1, 2024 - Golfshrine has been redesigned, to take advantage of 8-year-dormant HTML5+CSS knowledge and reduce dependency on 30-year-old software. Additionally, new Acquisitions and a new Article!
  • October 27, 2023 - A glut of Acquisitions updates that I've been sitting on for too long!
  • September 29, 2023 - PDA Tour Golf? Yup - check Acquisitions!
  • September 23, 2023 - You know you're deep into a hobby when your own mother starts picking stuff up for you, heh. PGA Tour Golf for SNES is now mine, with thanks to Mom for happening to spot it while thrifting this weekend. (Also: quietly rearranged the 88x31 buttons down there to add labels!)
  • September 7, 2023 - More Acquisitions: a talking Game Gear game, a "3D" golf game that does not need to render, and...Frisbee? (gasp!)
  • August 29, 2023 - An Acquisition so strange it deserves a new Article - it's Go Go Golf!
  • August 18, 2023 - PGA Tour '96, for the third time? See Acquisitions.
  • August 16, 2023 - A new Acquisitions page for longer-form news, an articles section to keep the nav bar clean, and the most important addition of all: link buttons! Look down there!
  • August 13, 2023 - With help from another kind Netizen, the Enshrined list is now alphabetized, and I corrected a bunch of embarassing typos on the other pages.
  • July 23, 2023 - Added the Golfers Gallery, with shots of my wonderful create-a-golfers. I just think they're neat.
  • July 22, 2023 - Site goes live!

What? Huh?

Golfshrine is this wondrous thing created unwittingly by wildweasel somewhere around 2016, upon noticing that used game shops and thrift stores really accumulate a lot of outdated sports games. This, combined with the fact that golf simulators are somehow really chill and relaxing, led to some strange impulse to begin collecting them - especially if they're $10 or less.

Golfshrine presently occupies two entire shelves and runs the risk of beginning to occupy a third one. If you would like to contribute to this apocalyptic phenomenon, get in touch with wildweasel through the usual vectors.
